StradVision has been working closely with Renesas since 2019 to provide deep learn-based object recognition solutions for ADAS and autonomous driving.
In October 2020, StradVision's AI-based camera awareness software is the leading innovator in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous Vehicles (AV) and has been selected as an active partner of renesas Electronic Renesas R-Car Alliance for the second year in a row. Renesas choose partners standard is based on its ability to provide three kinds of value: "open" (using open system to build flexible development environment), and "innovation", provides the advanced technology and the solutions to solve the problem of user ability), "credible" (based on a proven track record in the automotive sector, the ability of the high reliability of the system design Suggestions). Customers can access the program and easily review and identify the best partners and solutions that best suit their applications, devices or needs and problems through the certified company's search system. This will support our users' efforts to drive PoC (proof of concept) or system development to speed new products to market.
The Active Partner Program open platform creates a flexible and diverse development environment for system developers. Users can use advanced technologies and solutions to solve and overcome their own development challenges. Renesas Electronics is a global automotive semiconductor industry leader with a long history of providing reliable and innovative automotive solutions for a variety of systems and strengthening research and development in connected vehicles and ADAS.
"Being selected as a member of the Renesas R-Car Alliance Active Partner program has brought us closer to working with automotive suppliers as part of the platform," said Junhwan Kim, CEO of StradVision. "StradVision is undoubtedly key to accelerating the development of ADAS technology in the automotive industry."
NaokiYoshida, vice President, Automotive Solutions Business, also said, "Discussions are under way to provide Renesas SoC with SVNet algorithms to customers worldwide, and we look forward to continuing to work with StradVision."
StradVision's SVNet software has ADAS sensing solution based on deep learning camera facing the front camera (FFC) and the circle camera (SVM). The algorithm will run on Renesas R-CarH3, R-Carv2H, R-Carv3M and R-CarV3H SoC. StradVision's innovative SVNet software enables ADAS and autonomous vehicles to accurately detect and identify objects such as other vehicles, lanes, pedestrians, animals, drivable Spaces, traffic signs and traffic lights, maintaining excellent performance even in adverse weather conditions or low light conditions.
To enable visibility, SVNet's camera algorithm and deep learn-based capabilities are seamlessly compatible with other sensors, such as LiDAR and RADAR, to process collected road data at high speed and with precision.
SVNet's software algorithms are customized for Renesas R-CAR V3H and R-Car V3M (optimized for front-facing cameras and viewing systems). These soCs have been well established in terms of low power consumption and high functional security. To address the high power limitations of entry-level to mid-level vehicles, StradVision's combination of SVNet and Renesas Electronic SoC delivers high performance and low power.
Compared with its competitors, SVNet software has been deeply optimized, which greatly reduces the storage capacity required for operation and consumes less power. Thanks to StradVision's patent and cutting-edge deep neural network support software, it can be customized for any hardware system.
